Dean’s Word:
My sons and daughters
At the beginning of the academic year 2021/2022, I am pleased to welcome you to the Faculty of Media and Public Relations at Nahda University.
The faculty has a clear mission and vision. It is committed to preparing distinguished graduates in the various fields of media and qualifying them scientifically, professionally and technologically, to meet the needs of the labor market and the requirements of competition locally and globally, while raising the level of their commitment to social, professional and ethical responsibility towards the homeland and community issues.
The faculty has educational resources that enable it to provide a distinguished learning environment for its students. There are computer labs equipped with the latest programs and radio and television studios equipped with the latest cameras, audio and lighting equipment.
This is in addition to the faculty’s keenness to provide an environment similar to the real work environment, where journalism students publish the “Tickers” newspaper, and radio and television students practice producing different templates of radio and television programs through Al-Nahda Radio and Al-Nahda TV.
The faculty has a quality unit that aims to bring the faculty’s institutional performance to the highest level and achieve educational effectiveness by monitoring students’ evaluation of the courses, which takes place at the end of the semester and includes the student’s evaluation of the course content, the performance of the course professor, and the educational capabilities used.
And the university is not only a place to receive knowledge, but also to present talents and express the potential energies of students through artistic, sports, cultural, social and scientific activities. Therefore, I invite you to actively participate in all areas of university activity (student union, media club, quality activities), and let innovation and creativity be your motto in every work you do, whether at the level of academic courses or extra-curricular activities.
And, God willing, we will have a cultural season that we start with the October celebrations, and every month we will witness a different activity or event, including
seminars, competitions, exhibitions, festivals and other activities suggested and implemented by faculty students.
And that is through a fund to receive innovative non-traditional ideas that aim to renaissance and develop the faculty in form and content.
Welcome again, new members of the Faculty of Media and Public Relations family. Allow me to introduce you to the faculty professors, staff and members of the supporting staff.
I conclude my speech by saying that the Faculty of Media and Public Relations, with its distinguished experiences and huge capabilities, puts it at your service and for you, do not hesitate to take the reasons for learning, excellence, and elevation. Thank you all and have a successful academic year, God willing. All the best.
