A- Research Topic:

1- Perception of the current situation in Egypt without the glorious October War (what if the Egyptian political leadership had not taken the decision to break out the October 1973 War).

2- The Egyptian strategic deception plan and its impact on achieving the glorious October victory.

B- Number of research pages:

From (40-60) pages

C- The best six research papers will be selected by the Military Research Authority before the third week of September 2023.

D- Those who won first places during the closing ceremony of the glorious October celebrations on Friday, 6/10/2023 AD at the university level.

A presidential decision stipulates amending the name of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Nahda University

On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, Nahda University announced the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 271 of 2023, amending some provisions of Presidential Decree No. 253 of 2006 to establish a private university called “Nahda University.”

Based on this decision, the name of the Faculty of Mass communication and Public Relations – Nahda University is amended to become the Faculty of mass communication and Applied Languages, which offers new programs in accordance with modern global trends in teaching media. These programs include:

  • Audio and Visual Communication Program, in sub-specializations: (Sports Media – Documentary Films – Dubbing and subtitling films).
  • Marketing Communication Program, in sub-specializations: (public relations – advertising and promotion – health media).
  • Digital Communication Program, in sub-specializations: (Interactive Communication – Digital Platforms)
  • Media translation.

Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Mellahi, President of Nahda University, stated after the decision that the Faculty of Mass communication and Applied Languages based its modern programs on the programs of the largest media colleges in the world, and that it will also teach courses that develop the digital skills of its students.

For her part, Dr. Heba Al-Samri – Dean of the Faculty of Mass communication and Applied Languages, emphasized the faculty’s keenness, with its new regulations, to prepare its students for the media labor market through internationally accredited academic courses, and to provide compulsory practical training inside media institutions of up to 230 hours over the semester.

In addition to working in the fields of radio and television preparation and presentation, photography and television directing, the new regulations allow college graduates to work in many important and necessary jobs in the local and global labor market, such as: Social Media manager, Graphic Designer – Marketing Director – Art Director – Video Editor – Media Speaker – Sports analyst or commentator – advertising designer and director – translator and film dubber.

Students from the Faculty of Mass communication at Nahda University participate in the “Al-Ahd” competition under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and achieve the highest positions

On Monday, August 28, 2023, the Faculty of Mass Communication  and Public Relations – Nahda University participated in (Al-Ahd) Competition in its first edition, which was launched by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, represented by the Central Administration for Civic Education through the General Administration for Civic Education and Qualification of Youth Cadres and the General Administration of the Media Office, with the participation of 35 projects from 13 universities, academies and higher institutes.

The Faculty of Mass Communication at Nahda University won second place for the “Long Live the Martyr” project, and third place for the “I Am the Martyr” project in the radio works category.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi – Minister of Youth and Sports, honored the winners of the first places, in the presence of journalist writer Khaled Al-Balshi – Head of the Journalists Syndicate, and Professor Dr. Heba Al-Samri – Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Nahda University, with the participation of staff, and Professor Iman Abdel Jaber, Head of the Central Administration for Civic Education, And a group of ministry leaders.

For his part, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, stressed that Egypt’s youth are the force supporting the nation in various fields, and that the political leadership pays great attention to Egyptian youth, working to train them, develop their skills, and empower them in various sectors.

The Minister of Youth and Sports also confirmed that the Ministry seeks to invest in the efforts of Youth, identify their requirements, and meet them through actual implementation programs and projects actually, calling for the intensification of activities, programs, events and projects in coordination with the various central departments of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The competition includes the category of visual and television works, newspaper and print works, and radio works, to highlight the stories of the nation’s heroes, martyrs, and wounded.

The competition dealt with the stories of heroes, martyrs and wounded of the armed forces and medical staff, through the youth media industry, which enhances the values of loyalty, belonging and social responsibility of media youth, within the recommendations of the Youth Media Leaders Forum under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

Al Nahda University receives the official of the Research Excellence Center, Uni Map (Perlis University) in Malaysia

Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University and Member of the Senate, Welcomed Prof. Dr. Al-Muzamil Yusuf – Professor of Electrical and Communications Engineering and Supervisor of the Global Research Excellence Center at UniMap Perlis, Malaysia.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ayoub – Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Saleh – Vice President of the University for International Relations Affairs, Prof. Dr. Magdy Abdel Qader – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khudari – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Sayed Abdel Qader – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Chairman of the Expatriate Affairs Committee, and Dr. Mustafa Yassin, Director of the Quality Unit at the Faculty of Engineering.

The meeting discussed aspects of international cooperation between Al Nahda University and UniMap Perlis Malaysia in the affairs of student and faculty exchange, postgraduate studies and scientific research, and the compatibility of curricula, plans and study programs between the corresponding university colleges in Malaysia and Al Nahda University.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Al-Muzamil gave a lecture on the cooperation program between the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Nahda University and Unimap in Malaysia, where he proposed a plan of ten goals to achieve successful international excellence.

The Faculty of Engineering Council, headed by Dr. Salem Al-Khudari – Dean of the Faculty, agreed to provide several public lectures to serve students and graduates of the Faculties of engineering from Al-Nahda University, Beni Suef, the University of Technology, the higher institutes, the Engineers Syndicate, and those interested in scientific publishing.
