Dr. Khaled Saudi, a lecturer in the Conservative Dentistry Department at the College of Dentistry and Oral Medicine at Nahda University, has won third place in the E-Poster competition for the best research at the national level. He participated in the scientific research titled “Pulpal repair after direct pulp capping with new bio ceramic materials: A comparative histological study.”
The competition was held during the 6th International Cairo Dental Conference, which took place from February 24-27, to enhance the technical and digital aspects of dentistry and exchange research experiences among various professors from Egyptian, Arab, and international universities.
“The Faculty of Dentistry of Nahda University organized the First Upper Egypt Dental Conference, in collaboration with the Dental Colleges of Beni Suef and Fayoum Universities, from February 22 to 24, 2023. The conference was held at the Noria Resort on the banks of Lake Qarun in Fayoum Governorate.”
“The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Tarek Salah El Din – Head of the Dentistry Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities (Conference Chairman), Dr. Susan Saifallah – Dean of the Dental College at Nahda University, Dr. Lamiaa Ahmed Ibrahim – Acting Dean of the Dental College at Fayoum University, Dr. Ahmed Fathallah – Dean of the Dental College at Beni Suef University, members of the teaching staff of the three participating colleges, and the Director of the Commissioning Department at the Ministry of Health and Population.”
This comes as a support from the three universities for scientific research and encouragement of research efforts that serve the community. It is necessary that the university’s professors, researchers, and scientists in various fields play an active role in reforming the community and providing scientific solutions to the problems that afflict society.
The conference, held over the course of three days, included numerous scientific presentations and lectures by a select group of professors from the participating universities, as well as professors from Cairo, Ain Shams, and Misr International Universities.
On her part, Professor Dr. Susan Seif Allah, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Nahda University, confirmed that many stimulating ideas were presented to hold this conference as soon as possible. She explained that the conference is directed towards young researchers and graduate students, through the assistance of great expertise in the field of dentistry from various Egyptian universities. She also emphasized the keenness of the universities in North Upper Egypt and their desire to hold the conference annually, with the participation of more government and private Egyptian universities, to maximize scientific and practical benefit in the future.
At the end of the conference, Dr. Susan Seifallah, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Nahda University, received a shield for the First North Upper Egypt Dental Conference on behalf of Prof. Hossam El-Malahy – President of Nahda University.
