The Faculty of Engineering, Al-Nahda University organizes a training for its students at Hydropower Company for Electricity Production in Aswan

The Department of Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Al-Nahda University, headed by Dr. Mohamed Saad – Head of the Department, and supervised by Dr. Hassan Mahmoud – Head of the Scientific fieldtrips Committee, organized a field training at Hydropower Company for Electricity Production in Aswan, which is affiliated with the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company at the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, from On Saturday, February 5, until Monday, February 14, 2022, for a period of 12 days, in coordination with Eng. Hisham Kamal – Chairman and Managing Director.

The students were received by Eng. Mohamed Abdel Wahab – Head of the Training Sector at the Hydropower Company for Electricity Production in Aswan, and Eng. Mirghani Abdel Moneim – Director of the Company’s Training Department. Engineer Elsayed Sobhi – Project Planning and Feasibility Studies Consultant at the Company’s Training Center delivered an introductory lecture on the Company’s Training Center, and presented a film about the Center’s activities.

The students watched a presentation on energy, components of the hydro-generating unit and hydro turbines and the fault simulator of the hydro-generating unit. The students also received training in laboratories (synchronous generators – protection lab – solar energy – hydraulics – control lab – electric power systems – simulation lab), in addition to organizing A field visit to the High Dam power station, power station (1) and power station (2) in the Aswan reservoir, and the Benban solar energy complex in Aswan

The supervisors accompanied the students on trips on the sidelines of the training, to visit the tourist archaeological sites in Aswan, through which they visited (the Philae Temple – the Nubian Museum – the Island of Plants) as well as visiting the tourist archaeological sites in Luxor (Valley of the Kings – Karnak Temple – Rams Road).

In conclusion, the Training Center held a ceremony to deliver training attendance certificates to students, in the presence of Eng. Hesham Kamal – Chairman and Managing Director of the Water Stations Company for Electricity Production, and Eng. Mohamed Abdel Wahab – Head of Training Sector at the company, And Eng. Mirghani Abdel Moneim – Director of the Company’s Training Department, and Dr. Mohamed Saad – Head of Electric and Renewable Energy Department and Supervisor of Training.

This came under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Magdy Abdel-Qader – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and based on the directives of Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khodari – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, to link the scientific side with the practical and applied side, to achieve the highest benefit for students, and to graduate Engineers with scientific and practical skills that keep pace with the development of the labor market.

Under the slogan “Youth of New Republic Universities” Al-Nahda University participates in Southern Universities Games Festival in its third edition

Al-Nahda University participated in the Southern Universities Games Festival in its third edition from February 10-14, for the academic year 2021 / 2022 in the New Valley Governorate, which was launched by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the slogan “Youth of New Republic Universities”.

This came from Al-Nahda University’s belief in the importance of the role of sports in the lives of young people, and its interest in expanding the base of its students’ participation in all activities.

The delegation of Al-Nahda University participated in the games (five-a-side football – volleyball – table tennis – athletics – electronic games) with the participation of universities (Bani Suef – Assiut – Azhar Assiut – Sohag – South Valley – Aswan – Deraya – Sphinx University – New Valley University)

Al-Nahda University received the participation shield from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The student, Abd al-Rahman Nasr al-Din Shafiq, a student at the College of Engineering, won the second place and the silver medal in athletics – running 100 meters. Amr Ahmed Ezzat Abu Zaid, a student at the College of Human Medicine, also won the second place and the silver medal in electronic games (PlayStation FIFA 2022).

The festival included competitions in games (football for male and female students, volleyball for male and female students, athletics, 100-meter run, long jump – shot put – table tennis – electronic games) in addition to an entertainment program to visit the tourist and archaeological sites.

This participation came under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of Al-Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Magdy Abdel-Qader – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Anani – University President’s Adviser for Student Activities, and under the supervision of Professor Maysa Kandil – Director General of Youth Welfare, and Captain Amr Hassan, and Captain Ahmed Abdel Wahab.

TV Channels (DMC & TEN) inside The faculty of mass communication – Alnahda university

Under the patronage of Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Heba Al-Samri, Dean of the College of Media and Public Relations, The Faculty of Media at Al-Nahda University organized a field visit for the students of the fourth year to the Media Production City to visit the mentioned TV channels. This visit came with the aim of students experiencing the nature of work within the production city and within the university’s plan to qualify students for the labor market.

Dr. Heba Allah Al-Samri, Dean of the College, said that the aim of the visit is to train and qualify students to practice media and communication to achieve the highest levels of excellence for students so that they can keep pace with the labor market later on, and what is new in media institutions, and to provide them with skills and modern arts in the field of radio and television.

The Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Al-Nahda University indicated that during the visit, the students learned how TV directing works, how to stand in front of the camera while delivering the newscast, and the importance of lighting inside the TV studio, in addition to the importance of students seeing the huge studios from the inside and watching the program decorations in reality instead of the TV screen.

The students were received by Dr. Foley Abu Al-Saud, presenter of TEN channel, Mr. Walid Al-Refai, director of DMC channel, Dr. Mustafa Al-Khouli, general manager of production at TEN channel, and engineer / Mohamed Shaker on DMC channel.

The Dean of the faculty of Mass Communication is among the 100 influential figures in the Arab world

Dr. Heba El-Samry, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Public Relations at Al-Nahda University, was selected among the 100 influential figures in the Arab world in the Arab Entrepreneurs Union competition, in the fourth season edition of the Encyclopedia of Entrepreneurs and Development Leaders.EPDL.

The award is dedicated to Arab symbols in the ranks of the leading international march of social responsibility in accordance with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations 2030 and the program of the United Nations path for social responsibility ITS, It is a hundred stories of success stories of the symbols of the Arab and African society, including leaders, project owners, pioneers of community work, media professionals, chairmen of boards of directors, and a group of public figures.

The Encyclopedia of Entrepreneurs and Development Leaders is the first Arab encyclopedia issued by the Arab Pioneers Union since it was established in 2016 to document the achievements and march of community symbols and to shed light on the media and press on their pioneering and community leadership. It is issued in the form of a distinct volume issued periodically after the international honoring ceremony Including the biography and international career of the award recipients.

The award consolidates the concept of motivation and presenting the most important personalities and symbols of the Arab community, leaders, media professionals and officials through an international vision of the Union of Arab Pioneers and the importance of social responsibility in building a conscious future for one Arab and African nation in light of the current challenges.

The fourth season of the Arab Entrepreneurs Union competition discussed, through a number of experts and leaders, the mechanisms for benefiting from the energies of youth and investing in emerging projects as the most important factors that are interested in building the Egyptian state in light of the battle of true awareness of youth, and the pursuit of sustainable development, which President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi adopts.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Heba Al-Samri was the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University, before taking the position of Dean of the Faculty of Media and Public Relations at Al-Nahda University.

The Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Al-Nahda University held several positions, including the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University for Graduate Studies and Research, and the Head of the Radio and Television Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University. She has also completed many research and studies in the field of media that have been published in local, regional and international scientific journals.
