Architecture students participate in an international training program at the University of Granada, Spain

As part of Nahda University’s commitment to enhancing students’ international exposure, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Mallahy, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Salem El-Khodary, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering—through the Architecture Program and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sayed Abdelkader, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs—organized an intensive international academic and training program at the University of Granada in Spain, from July 1 to July 14, 2025. The program was held within the framework of the Touritage project, funded by the European Union, and in collaboration with universities from Spain, Tunisia, and Egypt.

Engineer Lydia George, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, headed the student delegation. The participating students engaged in hands-on workshops and specialized training focused on tourism-led heritage development. This initiative comes as part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to strengthen practical learning and provide students with access to advanced international academic experiences, enhancing their competitiveness in both regional and global labor markets
