Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of the University and based on the directives of Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khodari – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering to compete in local and international competitions, the Department of Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, headed by Dr. Muhammad Saad – Head of the Department, participated in the graduation project of the department’s students on the scientific day The sixth annual of the Military Technical College, held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, and the project is called (Vehicle powered by electric and solar energy). This project won the support of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology with an amount of (75,000) Egyptian pounds for (5) students from the department, They are (Abdullah Salloma, Ziad Hamdi, Ashraqat Kamal, Alaa Hassan and Taghreed Eid) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim, Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar and Engineer Muhammad Ragab, in the presence of the Egyptian army commanders, leaders of the Military Technical College and military attachés in the Czech Republic, Canada, China and the Arab countries. The college project was awarded Engineering, Al-Nahda University, the approval and praise of the attendees.

The car relies on an electric control system and a powerful battery, while maintaining its light weight and affordable price. This car is considered environmentally friendly as it reduces air pollution as it is characterized by low cost and quality that simulates fuel cars and can be used in new cities such as the Administrative Capital.

On Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Dr. Ayman Ashour – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Mohamed Maait – Minister of Finance attended the opening of the activities of the eleventh conference of the African Organization for Accounting and Finance AAFA, Which will be hosted by Al-Nahda University from 6-8 September, In the presence of Dr. Marian Rose – President of the Organization, Prof. Hossam El-Mallahi – President of Al-Nahda University, Eng. Mohamed Al-Rashidi – Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Magdy Abdel-Qader – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and with the participation of researchers from a number of African and European countries.
On its first day, the conference included the Young Researchers Forum for 2022, which was held at the faculty of Business Administration at Al-Nahda University, Which aims to organize a meeting for emerging researchers (PhD and master’s students) to present their work in progress and receive feedback from elite researchers in their field and communicate with their counterparts as well as the rest of the participating delegations.
For his part, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, praised the efforts of Al-Nahda University in hosting the conference, which comes in strengthening the scientific and academic role of the university. It agrees with the general directions of the state and its efforts to integrate research and scientific thought from different countries of the world, in order to serve Egypt’s Vision 2030, Expressing his hopes that the sessions and discussions will yield fruitful and beneficial results in the service of development issues in Egypt and the African continent.
The Minister also praised the conference, which aims to discuss methodological issues in accounting research towards finding new theories and methods, expressing Egypt’s happiness for hosting the activities of this session and welcoming the participants from all sister African countries.
Ashour stressed that the development and sustainability of competitiveness today is a strategic goal that all institutions seek to achieve, in light of the great challenges facing the economy based on knowledge, pointing out that the repercussions of globalization and internationalization of education imposed on universities the need to improve the quality of their academic activities, and activate the role of scientific research in the fields of education. Accounting to search for new theories and methods that serve the economy.
The Minister also noted the role of the university as one of the most important educational institutions in achieving progress for societies, as well as the critical importance of scientific research in enriching the role of the university as a center for scientific creativity, knowledge development and use to solve the various problems of society.
The Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Maait, indicated that global economies faced great challenges during the last period due to the conditions of the Corona pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, and the repercussions of these conditions on the economy of all countries of the world, including Egypt. He pointed to the success of Egyptian economic policies in dealing with these repercussions, achieving an increase in growth rates and reducing the budget deficit, as well as launching a package of social protection programs for the benefit of the Egyptian citizen.
Hossam El-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University, stressed that the university’s hosting of this event comes in recognition and activation of its role in participating in the challenges facing society, including economic challenges, as well as Egypt’s leading role in the African continent, Pointing out that this is the first time for the conference to be held in a North African country, specifically in Egypt, as well as the addition of the Arabic language for the first time in the conference’s research in addition to English and French, praising the research and discussions witnessed by the Emerging Researchers Forum hosted by Al-Nahda University, The forum activities also represented an important opportunity to introduce participants from African countries to the Egyptian civilization in Upper Egypt and the city of Beni Suef, in addition to organizing today’s activities in Cairo.
Dr. Marian Rose, President of the organization, expressed her happiness to hold the activities of this session of the conference in Egypt, noting that the organization aims to build the capacities of African academics and students in the fields of education and scientific research, link those interested in teaching accounting and finance, and contribute to promoting innovation in developing countries, and reviewed the results achieved the organization.
During its sessions, the conference discussed several topics, including the impact of robotic and intelligent process technology on the quality of the audit process, an “applied study on the movements registered in the Egyptian Stock Exchange”, and a proposed model for measuring strategic flexibility using accounting information to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.
Based on the keenness of the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Nahda University to link the scientific side with the practical and applied side, to achieve the highest benefit for students, and to graduate engineers with scientific and practical skills that keep pace with the development of the labor market, Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of the University and based on the directives of Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khodari – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering was organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Muhammad Saad – Head of the Department, and under the coordination of Prof. Maysa Kandil – Director of Youth Welfare and Training at the University, A training course was held for (30) students from the college for the departments (Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering – Mechatronics Engineering – Civil Engineering) at the National Research Center for a period of two weeks during the period from Sunday 4 September to Thursday 15 September 2022 under the supervision of members of the faculty’s supporting staff.
Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University, announced the university’s response to the desire of the student, Mohamed Hossam, who has hemophilia, to obtain a scholarship at the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Nahda University. He stressed that Al-Nahda University always supports humanitarian cases, and our goal is to prepare a generation ready for tomorrow.
This came during a phone call made by Prof. Hossam El-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University, to the program “Egypt Can”, in which the program’s presenter, Ahmed Fayek, thanked Dr. Hossam El-Mallahi, and he always describes him in the program as a maker of happiness.
Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi praised the students who received similar scholarships through the program as being among the outstanding students, and they obtained high grades and proved their university excellence, and that they are distinguished in terms of knowledge and morals.
The President of Al-Nahda University stressed that despite the provision of nearly 150 scholarships from Al-Nahda University this year, the university always welcomes any outstanding student who deserves a distinguished education opportunity, and they always prove that they are honourable examples on which to build a future.
