Faculty of Pharmacy organizes reception for new students for the academic year 2020/2021

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi- President of NUB, Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Sharbini – Vice President of Education and Students Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hamdi Abdul Rahman – Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Dr. Rifaat Hussein – VICE DEAN of The Faculty for Education and Students Affairs, organized the Faculty of Pharmacy Reception of new students on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2020 / 2021, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hossam Mukhtar – VICE DEAN of the Faculty for Graduate Affairs, Dr. Asma Abu Al-Majd – Director of the Quality Assurance Unit of the faculty, STAFF MEMBERS and the auxiliary staff.

Dr. Hamdi Abdul Rahman, Dean of the Faculty, delivered a speech in which he praised the excellence witnessed by the Faculty of Pharmacy last year in various fields and activities, where theFACULTY has held a privileged position among the rest of the Egyptian pharmacy faculties both governmental and private, where the Faculty of Pharmacy received academic accreditation from the National Authority to ensure the quality of education and accreditation.

The Dean stressed the importance of adhering to the rules organized by the university in attendance and examinations, highlighting the privileges obtained by the outstanding student, and urging the participation of the university in all fields of sports, art and culture.

He also stressed the college’s keenness to provide all services to students to attend lectures, prepare introductory lectures about the FACULTY and its study system and how to use distance learning, and how to calculate the cumulative rate that will be done by the members of the faculty’s assistant staff, and urged students to make efforts and reach scientific excellence through continuous learning.

After that, the members of the auxiliary STAFF conducted introductory lectures on the university system, where assistant teacher Mina Atef and instructor  Mohammed Abu al-Hassan gave an introductory lecture on the system of credit hours and fingerprint system for attendance, as well as assistant teacher Michel Yusry gave an introductory lecture on the electronic education system and how to follow and download lectures, then the members of the auxiliary staff organized a cultural entertainment section and competitions for new students consisting of general questions and awards for the winners.

NUB celebrates graduation of the 2018 batch of its faculties

NUB celebrated the graduation of a new batch (2018 batch) from the faculties of oral and dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, computer science, masscom., marketing, business administration,  in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Latif, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, deputy of Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Research. Counselor Hani Abdul Jaber, Governor of Beni Suef, Dr. Alaa Abdul Halim, Governor of Qalyubia, and a group of members of the House of Representatives, public figures and media professionals, Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi, President of the University, Engineer Mohammed Al-Rashidi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Vice Presidents of the University, Deans and staff members, parents and graduates.

The ceremony witnessed a parade of graduates led by the university leadership parade, followed by the honoring of first rank NUB graduates and the distribution of certificates among the graduates.

Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi, President of NUB, congratulated the graduates and their parents, and confirmed the development witnessed by the university in several fields including that of international students and the holding of partnerships with many distinguished foreign universities, developing the research role of the university to become central for African energy, food and water research, activating the community participation of NUB, linking scientific research to development in Egyptian society, and the role of the university as a beacon in upper Egypt, and improving the level of university graduates to create a place for them in the labor market.

Eng. Mohammed Al Rashidi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, also delivered a speech congratulating the graduates and their parents and confirmed the support of the Board of Trustees for all aspects of development and modernization that the university is currently witnessing on all tracks, as he pointed out that the Faculty of Medicine, which was built and furnished in the latest model in partnership with the oldest medical schools in the world to be a medical and health beacon to serve the children of Upper Egypt, as he pointed out that the university is in the process of establishing a number of new faculties that meet the needs of the community and contribute to achieving sustainable development. The Board of Trustees supports all college partnerships to cooperate with foreign universities, develop the university’s teaching methods and scientific research, and also emphasized the university’s efforts in the service of Beni Suief in the coming period through actual projects serving the people of the province.

The artist Medhat Saleh performed the alumni ceremony with a bunch of his most beautiful songs with which the graduates, parents and all those present in the ceremony interacted.

Minister of Higher Education witnesses the signing of a partnership between the Vienna Medical University and the faculty of medicine NUB

On Monday, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, witnessed the signing of a partnership between the Vienna Medical University and the Faculty of Medicine of NUB, under the theme of twinning between the two parties.

The partnership contract includes work in the fields of development, construction, scientific research and curricula, as the partnership comes in accordance with the decision of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and in terms of the conditions of approving on the establishment of new colleges and universities.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the participation of the minister within the delegation accompanying President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, during his visit to Austria, which aimed to strengthen relations between the two countries, and witnessed the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding between Egypt and Vienna in several areas.

Last week, the Council of Ministers approved the amendment of the President’s Decision, No. 253 of 2006, to establish a private university-NUB-by adding the faculties of medicine and physiotherapy to the faculties of the university.

The partnership contract was signed by Eng. Mohammed Al-Rashidi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of NUB, in the presence of Dr. Hisham Arafat, Minister of Transport, and Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi, President of NUB, and the Minister accompanied the attendees on an inspection tour inside the University of Vienna, where they learned about the university’s facilities and privileges.

NUB Pharmacy receives education quality assurance authority accreditation

Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi, President NUB announced that the Faculty of Pharmacy, NUB, obtained academic accreditation by the National Authority to guarantee the quality of education and accreditation, thus be the  first faculty at the level of private universities to receive academic accreditation, adding that the accreditation of the Faculty of Pharmacy is the first step for the rest of the university faculties to obtain accreditation in the coming period

Eng. Mohammed Al Rashidi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, confirmed that the university is doing its best to provide all the possibilities and meet all the conditions that ensure that the rest of the university faculties receive accreditation, in order to achieve the university’s goal in preparing a graduate capable of competing in the labor market locally and internationally.

The importance of academic accreditation comes to be met by the required standards and ensures the consolidation of the level of quality and development in raising confidence in its outputs to meet the requirements of the labor market, which in turn raises the professional level of its students, and reflects on its reputation and its position between pharmaceutical institutions and related entities, where the academic institutional accreditation is a means of accessing quality to all the activities of the university and its academic and administrative activities and the gateway of the student to work with high-reputation institutions, as well as opens the prospects of cooperation between the college and other local and international pharmacy colleges in all areas.

It is worth mentioning that the National Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority is taking firm and effective steps to obtain international accreditation.
