The Scientific Society of the Faculty of Pharmacy organizes an awareness campaign on World DIABETES Day

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi, President of NUB, Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Sharbini, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, And Prof. Dr. Hamdi Abdul Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and in line with the celebration of World Diabetes Day, the Egyptian Federation of Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, NUB, on Thursday, November 14, 2019, organized an awareness campaign on the dangers of diabetes by guiding the most important tips that can prevent diabetes, which represents about 420 million patients around the world.

Today’s activities began within NUB to raise students and measure blood sugar in cooperation with the company “Novo Nordisk” one of the pharmaceutical companies, and then the students of the Egyptian Union of Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy began to move outside the walls of the university, and complete the activities of their awareness campaign on diabetes in the east Nile region of Beni Suef, and complete the measurement of BLOOD sugar OF MORE THAN 200 people.

Students are keen to emphasize some important tips to follow and take care of to avoid diabetes:

* Eat fiber-rich foods such as salads.

* Exercise constantly and move the body constantly by walking.

* Have coffee and add cinnamon to FOOD.

* Maintain the perfect weight and stay away from fast food.

* Keep distance from nervousness and stress.

* stop smoking.

NUB FACULTY OF Pharmacy opens summer training for its students

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi, President of EnNUB and Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Sharbini, Vice President of Education and Students Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hamdi Abdul Rahman – Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and based on the mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy and its constant keenness to equip a graduate capable of keeping up with the labor market; the Faculty of Pharmacy has opened the application for summer training for students of different stages of the college, where 200 students from the third, fourth and fifth year are presented.

 123 students were selected for summer training with 50 students for the National Research Center, pharmacy research division is divided into four sections for six days, and 40 students of the National Authority for Drug Control and Research in various disciplines for 10 days/ three sections, and 33 students of Sid Pharmaceutical company were trained in 3 sections for six days under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Omar Khalaf – Assistant Teacher at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Renaissance University, and Professor Maysa Qandil – Training Officer and Student Activities, as well as the training program for the summer 59 students in the pharmacies of Beni Suef governorate for a month in coordination with the Pharmacists Syndicate in Beni Suef under the supervision of Dr. Iman Mustafa- instructor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, NUB

The Egyptian Federation of The Faculty of Pharmacy, NUB organizes a conference “a step on the road

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of NUB, Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Sharbini, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hamdi Abdel Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Office of the Egyptian Federation of The Faculty of Pharmacy, NUB organized the conference “Step on the Road” in its 12th year in a row during the mid-year leave and for four days from 2-5 February 2020, under the supervision of Dr. Asma A. Raed, the head of the office, and Professor Maysa-Qandil, who is responsible for activities and training.

On the sidelines of the conference, several scientific lectures and skill workshops were held with the aim of practical application aimed at developing the student and covering all personal skills.

The Office of the Egyptian Federation of Pharmacy Students at NUB (EPSF) is part of the Egyptian Federation of Pharmacy Students (EPSF) is the largest student entity comprising pharmacy students in 34 pharmacy colleges nationwide, and the Egyptian Federation is part of the International Federation of Pharmacy Students, which includes more than 80 countries and more than 5,000 students, with the aim of developing the pharmacy student and improving the health of the pharmacy.

Faculty of Pharmacy organizes reception for new students for the academic year 2020/2021

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi- President of NUB, Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Sharbini – Vice President of Education and Students Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hamdi Abdul Rahman – Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Dr. Rifaat Hussein – VICE DEAN of The Faculty for Education and Students Affairs, organized the Faculty of Pharmacy Reception of new students on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2020 / 2021, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hossam Mukhtar – VICE DEAN of the Faculty for Graduate Affairs, Dr. Asma Abu Al-Majd – Director of the Quality Assurance Unit of the faculty, STAFF MEMBERS and the auxiliary staff.

Dr. Hamdi Abdul Rahman, Dean of the Faculty, delivered a speech in which he praised the excellence witnessed by the Faculty of Pharmacy last year in various fields and activities, where theFACULTY has held a privileged position among the rest of the Egyptian pharmacy faculties both governmental and private, where the Faculty of Pharmacy received academic accreditation from the National Authority to ensure the quality of education and accreditation.

The Dean stressed the importance of adhering to the rules organized by the university in attendance and examinations, highlighting the privileges obtained by the outstanding student, and urging the participation of the university in all fields of sports, art and culture.

He also stressed the college’s keenness to provide all services to students to attend lectures, prepare introductory lectures about the FACULTY and its study system and how to use distance learning, and how to calculate the cumulative rate that will be done by the members of the faculty’s assistant staff, and urged students to make efforts and reach scientific excellence through continuous learning.

After that, the members of the auxiliary STAFF conducted introductory lectures on the university system, where assistant teacher Mina Atef and instructor  Mohammed Abu al-Hassan gave an introductory lecture on the system of credit hours and fingerprint system for attendance, as well as assistant teacher Michel Yusry gave an introductory lecture on the electronic education system and how to follow and download lectures, then the members of the auxiliary staff organized a cultural entertainment section and competitions for new students consisting of general questions and awards for the winners.
