The evidence for this is what the governorate of Beni Suef has experienced in recent years, and the heavy rain and torrential rain that it has experienced after it was one of the dry governorates with little rain.

This made Beni Suef governorate exploit these conditions, especially after the March 2020 torrential rains, which were estimated at 32 million cubic meters of rainwater, bearing in mind that the outlet’s absorptive capacity does not exceed 12-15 million only.

Where the governorate developed the Senour area and made a number of lakes in cooperation with the Ministry of Irrigation to collect rainwater and benefit from it, where the stored water will be used in the greenhouse projects in Beni Suef, which was announced by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

He stressed that the political leadership’s awareness of the importance of climate change, and Egypt’s prominent presence in the last Glasgow Conference, which entailed the states participating in this agreement granting confidence to Egypt to hold the next international conference, all of this reflects Egypt’s position and the global confidence it has reached.

The President of Cairo University expressed his happiness that the students from the two universities assumed the responsibility of such an important conference. And that such conferences train students in scientific research, discussion and dialogue, and that the two universities create a student for the future, a student with awareness, thinking and awareness of the dimensions of various global issues.
