The Continuing Education and Training Center at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine organized a scientific day titled “Laser in Dentistry,” under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim – Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi – Director of the Continuing Education and Training Center.

The scientific day was organized in collaboration with the Departments of Operative Dentistry, Fixed Prosthodontics, Periodontology, and sponsored by Zolar and X Trade. It featured a live-demo and hands-on sheep heads to develop and improve skills essential for interns and graduates in patient management, addressing the evolving needs of the modern dental community.

The Continuing Dental Education and Training Center, in collaboration with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, organized a “Scientific Day” under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim – Dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi – Director of the Continuing Dental Education and Training Center. A large number of dental interns and graduates attended the scientific day, which included three main lectures. The first lecture was titled “Management of Medically Compromised Patients and Emergencies in Dental practice”, presented by Prof. Dr. Hossam Barghash – Visiting Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Lübeck, Germany. The second lecture was titled “Dry Socket VS Infected Socket”, delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Nahed Adly – Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nahda University. The third lecture was titled “Management of Exodontia Complications”, presented by Prof. Dr. Hamed Gad – Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Minia University.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi – Director of the Continuing Education and Training Center, the Continuing Education and Training Center, in collaboration with the Measurement and Evaluation Committee, organized an advanced educational training course for faculty teaching staff members. The course was presented by Prof. Mohamed Elsherbini, Professor of Oral Radiology.

The training focused on using a comprehensive educational software for creating, managing, and grading exams. This program is a versatile tool used in educational institutions to efficiently develop, manage, and assess academic tests.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Nahda University, Prof. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Wael Jamil – Vice-Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed Eldemerdash – Head of the Infection Control Unit, and Dr. Omar Badran – Head of the Infection Control Monitoring Committee, the Continuing Dental Education and Training Center organized a lecture titled “Basics of Infection Prevention and Control “Policies and Procedures” during the orientation day for interns for the academic year 2023-2024.

This lecture comes as part of the college’s commitment to training interns and equipping them with the scientific and professional standards necessary for infection prevention and control to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff.
