In NUB’s continuous dedication to community service, a delegation of Faculty members and students from the Faculty of Physical Therapy volunteered to visit Al-Diwan Private Language School in the First District, east of the Nile in Beni Suef on December 20, 2020, as part of the campaign for the early detection of body deformities among school students in the primary and preparatory stages,
The visit included 9 faculty members and 20 students, and they examined about 300 students, many of which suffered deformities including dropped shoulder scapular winging, scoliosis, and kyphosis.
The visit also included awareness lectures for teachers and school students about the correct way for sitting and carrying the school bag as they are two of the main causes of the found deformities.
On Sunday, October 9, 2022, Prof. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University, opened the Fifth Nahda University Conference and Forum for Employment, within the framework of the university’s general orientation towards supporting and developing the capabilities of students and graduates to compete effectively in the labour market, creating job opportunities for students and graduates, and Introducing students to the capabilities and skills required by the labour market, and creating a broad base of companies and banks to learn about what distinguishes our graduates and the extent of what they have acquired during their studies at the university.
The forum was held this year, under the auspices of Dr. Muhammad Hani Ghoneim – Governor of Beni Suef, Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of the University, and Eng. Muhammad Al-Rashidi – Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and under the supervision of the faculty of Business Administration headed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Khadrawi – Dean of the Faculty, with the participation of more than 70 banks, company, a factory, and a number of governmental and private institutions and bodies.
In his speech during the opening of the Fifth Employment Forum, Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University, stressed that Al-Nahda University establishes a basic principle, which is that the role of universities is not only to educate the student, but the supreme message of education is the learning system in which the student integrates to be part of his community. Young people are the driving force of their society.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Khadrawi, Dean of the faculty of Business Administration, explained that the faculty cares about the future of its students since the first day of their joining the Faculty with distinguished academic education and training courses that qualify them to compete and lead in the labour market. Al-Khadrawi indicated that this year’s forum targeted all graduates of the governorate, not just the graduates of Al-Nahda University, where nearly 500 students from the Faculty of Commerce and the Faculty of Economics and Political Science participated this year.
The forum provided many distinguished job opportunities for Al-Nahda University graduates, These opportunities vary to include different fields such as banks, electronics and information technology companies, medicinal plants companies, The most prominent participants were: the Egyptian Stock Exchange, Export Bank, National Bank of Egypt, Bank of Alexandria, Banque Misr, ElQahera Bank, Arab African Bank, The United Bank, Telecom Egypt, New Beni Suef City Authority, Small Enterprises Development Authority, Toshiba Arab Company, Company Ibn Sina Pharma, Samsung Factory, Contact Company, Misr Life Insurance Company.
The forum also provided a set of free training courses for graduates, Training on personal interviews and CV writing, as well as free courses in the field of marketing and handicrafts, as well as providing the opportunity for small business owners to present their products through the forum.
This forum is a continuation of the great role played by Al-Nahda University in providing distinguished job opportunities for graduates, reducing the unemployment rate in society, facilitating the graduates’ access to various institutions, and identifying the requirements of the labour market.
Based on the keenness of the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Nahda University to link the scientific side with the practical and applied side, and to achieve the highest benefit for students, Graduating engineers with scientific and practical skills that keep pace with the development of the labor market, Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of the University and based on the directives of Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khodari – Dean of the faculty of Engineering,. Under the coordination of Dr. Hassan Mahmoud – Head of the Scientific Visits and Training Committee at the Faculty, and under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Saad – Head of the Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering Department, and Dr. Ali Jamal, Head of the Communications and Computer Engineering Department, at the Faculty of Engineering, A training course was held for faculty students for (33) students from the departments of (Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering – Communications and Computer Engineering – Mechatronics Engineering) at the Electrical Networks Training Center in Helwan for a period of three weeks during the period from Sunday 4 September to Thursday 22 September 2022.
Based on the keenness of the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Nahda University to link the scientific side with the practical and applied side, to achieve the highest benefit for students, and to graduate engineers with scientific and practical skills that keep pace with the development of the labor market, Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of the University and based on the directives of Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khodari – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, headed by Dr. Muhammad Saad – Head of the Department, and coordinated by Dr. Hassan Mahmoud – Head of the Scientific Visits and Training Committee, organized in college, A training course was held for (30) students from the department in Al-Karimat power stations for three weeks over three periods (Group I: from July 16 to August 4, 2022 / The second group: from August 6 to August 25 / The third group: from Saturday, September 3 to Thursday, September 22, 2022) with an average of 6 theoretical days and 12 working days in four power plants in Al-Kuraimat (Al-Kuraimat Electricity Station 1 – Al-Kuraimat Compound Electricity Plant 2 – South Helwan Electricity Plant – Solar Power Plant).
