On Sunday, December 25, 2022, Al-Nahda University opened the first art exhibition (Bedaya 1) for students of the Faculty of Fine Arts. The exhibition includes the productions and works of first-level students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, which is a real starting point for students.
The students’ artwork reflected the extent of the effort exerted by the Staff and the assistant staff, who were able, in a period of only three months – which is the period of starting the study in the Faculty- to make a breakthrough in the students’ performance and their mastery of the use of various materials and to produce an artistic product by the hands of the students and with a great professionalism. The Faculty of Fine Arts was keen to open the exhibition for university students from various faculties to visit it.
On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, Al-Nahda University organized for its students a field trip to Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357. Students of the Faculties of Pharmacy, Computer Science and Business Administration participated in this fieldtrip, who contributed to providing moral support and drawing a smile on children’s faces, as the students participated in many recreational activities, as well as Distributing gifts and toys to children to bring happiness to their hearts.
The Public Relations Officer accompanied the students on a tour of the hospital corridors and gave them an overview of the hospital and clinics, the mechanism of work in them, and the importance of these fieldtrips in improving the psychological condition of patients. At the end of the fieldtrip, the students were keen to make a financial donation in favor of the hospital.
This field trip coincided with the initiatives and invitations launched by many public figures and artists to urge them to fieldtrip the hospital, donate for children to help them complete their medical treatment, and help the hospital keep its doors open.
Al-Nahda University was keen to cooperate with the hospital in training its students during the summer period in previous years, and seeks to organize more cooperation in the field of practical training during the mid- and end-of-year vacation period.
The fieldtrip was under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of the University, Prof. Dr. Magdi Abdel Qader – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Hassan Saada – Advisor to the President of the University for Student Activities, and Ms. Maysa Qandil – Director General of Youth Welfare.
The delegation of Al-Nahda University participated in the Southern Universities Games Festival, the fourth edition, in Luxor Governorate, which is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the auspices of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, from November 20-24, 2022, In games: (five-a-side football – volleyball – table tennis – basketball trios), with the participation of the universities of the south (Bani Suef – Assiut – Sohag – South Valley – Aswan – Luxor – Sphinx University – Higher Education – New Valley University).
Al-Nahda University won the fourth place in the games (five-a-side football – volleyball – basketball trios), the Fair Play Cup and certificates of appreciation for the university delegation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The university’s participation came under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of Al-Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Magdy Abdel-Qader – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Ms. Maysa Qandil – General Manager of Youth Welfare administration, and under the supervision of Captain Amr Hassan and Captain Ahmed Abdel-Wahab, a sports activity specialist.
On Sunday, November 20, 2022, Al-Nahda University organized an initiative entitled “Your Safety Matters to Us” at the Faculty of Engineering in the Smart Village, in the presence of a group of specialists and workers in industrial facilities, with the aim of spreading the concept and culture of occupational safety and health among members of society, and ways to build a comprehensive and organized mechanism for joint work between workers and management in applying safety and health procedures.
Dr. Salem Al-Khodari, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, expressed his happiness at hosting the initiative at the College of Engineering, and conveyed to the attendees the sincere thanks and gratitude of Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi, President of the University, for raising such important topics and Informing students about the general meaning of security and safety, and how to follow its methods in their lives inside and outside the university.
