Students of the Faculty of Engineering, NUB, on a scientific trip to the “ESKRA AMCO Energy Measurement” plant on the 10th of Ramadan

Based on the keenness of NUB to link the scientific aspect to the practical aspect, and to achieve the most benefit for students, and the graduation of engineers with scientific and practical skills to keep pace with the development of the labor market, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of NUB, and Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khodri – Dean of the Faculty Engineering, the Department of Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, NUB, headed by Dr. Mohammed Saad , Head of the Department, and supervised by Dr. Hassan Mahmoud – former First Deputy Minister of Electricity and teacher in the Department of Energy on Thursday, December 31, 2020 scientific trip for students of the first division department Energy for The Swedish Electric Group’s ISKRA AMCO Power Measurement Plant, which produces prepaid and smart electricity and water meters in the city of 10th Ramadan.

The students were greeted by Mr. Khalid Mustafa, Director of Public Relations at the factory, and Engineer Mohammed Osman, Director of Quality at the factory, and Mr. Khalid gave a lecture introducing the establishment of the factory, production lines and factory activities such as the manufacture of measuring devices, which include electric, mechanical and electronic meters, connected communication networks, water meters, gas meters, supplies, accessories and components, cable production lines and electrical insulators.

The students toured all sections of the factory, and its production lines at various stages, and listened to an explanation about the factory, and it was pointed out that the factory includes 1,000 workers with an Egyptian employment rate of 100%, and the production capacity of the plant is 3 million meters per year, and exports account for 60% of total sales targeting European and African markets, and the company’s exports are estimated at 50 million euros per year.

Students were also introduced to the preventive measures adopted in the light of efforts to confront the new coronavirus, through the availability of heat meters on the factory door, sanitization and disinfection requirements at each location, the commitment of all workers to wear muzzles, and work according to shifts that allow a safe density of employment, in order to achieve the requirements of safety and public health during this stage.

The Faculty of Engineering in the arbitration of an architectural competition for the urban design of the the famous walkway of the West Corniche, under the auspices of The Province of Beni Suef

The Faculty of Engineering in the arbitration of an architectural competition for the urban design of the  the famous walkway of the West Corniche, under the auspices of The Province of Beni Suef, the governorate of Beni Suef, hired a team from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of The University of Renaissance to arbitrate an architectural competition for the urban design of the famous walkway of the Corniche of Beni Suef West, within the framework of the active role of  NUB in community service and development of the governorate of Beni Suef, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi- President of The Renaissance University, Engineer Mohammed Al-Rashidi – President of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khaderi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

The team is made up of the professors of the Department of Architecture Dr. Iman Shaqour – Head of the Department, Dr. Ayman Hosni, and Dr. Rashwan al-Shahr, where the arbitration of the competition was subject to several criteria and then reached the top three participants who will be honored and awarded by Dr. Mohammed Hani Ghoneim – Governor of Beni Suef.

The competition was attended by more than seventy architects, specialized artists, and students in the architecture departments of the Faculties of Engineering and Fine Arts, where the ideas included designs for the most important Egyptian figures that influenced the Egyptian society and personality on the social, cultural or political level during the various ages of our beloved Egypt, along the length of the current West Corniche, and is already under way to implement a walkway in the West Corniche, The conditions that must be met in the designs provided included the work of a panorama of the most important Egyptian figures in the form of an open exhibition along the walkway with a recurring element or multiple elements depending on the design proposed by the rider, to take into account in the design the path of the current walkway implemented by the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, knowing that the main goal of the competition is to introduce the most important Egyptian figures and to highlight them and to immortalize them.

Faculty of Pharmacy – NUB obtained academic accreditation from the National Authority OF quality of education and accreditation NAQAAE

As the culmination of NUB continuous pursuit of the highest quality colleges in education, and as the first college in the level and at the level of private universities, the Faculty of Pharmacy – NUB obtained academic accreditation from the National Authority OF quality of education and accreditation NAQAAE, which is granted after applying strict standards and difficult requirements that the University was keen to implement.

The importance of academic accreditation comes to be met by the required standards and ensures the consolidation of the level of quality and development in raising confidence in its outputs to comply with the requirements of the labor market, which in turn raises the professional level of its students, and reflects on its reputation and its position among pharmaceutical institutions and related entities, where institutional academic accreditation is a means of accessing quality to all university activities and academic and administrative activities and the gateway to cross the student to work with institutions of high reputation.

Academic accreditation also opens up the prospects for cooperation between The Faculty of Pharmacy, NUB and other local and international faculties of pharmacy in all fields.

It is worth mentioning that the National Authority for Quality of Education and Accreditation is taking firm and effective steps to obtain international accreditation.
