Dr. Khaled Saudi, a lecturer in the Conservative Dentistry Department at the College of Dentistry and Oral Medicine at Nahda University, has won third place in the E-Poster competition for the best research at the national level. He participated in the scientific research titled “Pulpal repair after direct pulp capping with new bio ceramic materials: A comparative histological study.”
The competition was held during the 6th International Cairo Dental Conference, which took place from February 24-27, to enhance the technical and digital aspects of dentistry and exchange research experiences among various professors from Egyptian, Arab, and international universities.
“The Faculty of Dentistry of Nahda University organized the First Upper Egypt Dental Conference, in collaboration with the Dental Colleges of Beni Suef and Fayoum Universities, from February 22 to 24, 2023. The conference was held at the Noria Resort on the banks of Lake Qarun in Fayoum Governorate.”
“The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Tarek Salah El Din – Head of the Dentistry Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities (Conference Chairman), Dr. Susan Saifallah – Dean of the Dental College at Nahda University, Dr. Lamiaa Ahmed Ibrahim – Acting Dean of the Dental College at Fayoum University, Dr. Ahmed Fathallah – Dean of the Dental College at Beni Suef University, members of the teaching staff of the three participating colleges, and the Director of the Commissioning Department at the Ministry of Health and Population.”
This comes as a support from the three universities for scientific research and encouragement of research efforts that serve the community. It is necessary that the university’s professors, researchers, and scientists in various fields play an active role in reforming the community and providing scientific solutions to the problems that afflict society.
The conference, held over the course of three days, included numerous scientific presentations and lectures by a select group of professors from the participating universities, as well as professors from Cairo, Ain Shams, and Misr International Universities.
On her part, Professor Dr. Susan Seif Allah, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Nahda University, confirmed that many stimulating ideas were presented to hold this conference as soon as possible. She explained that the conference is directed towards young researchers and graduate students, through the assistance of great expertise in the field of dentistry from various Egyptian universities. She also emphasized the keenness of the universities in North Upper Egypt and their desire to hold the conference annually, with the participation of more government and private Egyptian universities, to maximize scientific and practical benefit in the future.
At the end of the conference, Dr. Susan Seifallah, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Nahda University, received a shield for the First North Upper Egypt Dental Conference on behalf of Prof. Hossam El-Malahy – President of Nahda University.
On Saturday, January 28, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Nahda University witnessed the discussion of its students’ graduation projects, in preparation for graduating a new batch of students for the academic year 2022/2023. In the presence of Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khodari – Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sayed Abdel Qader – Vice Dean of the Faculty, President of the New and Renewable Energy Authority, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Production Company (Siemens), heads of departments in the College, Staff of the faculty and the assistant staff, and a number of specialized public figures .
The students discussed the projects and applied ideas they presented to the internal discussion committees of the faculty professors, the referees, and the external discussion committees, which included a group of professors from public universities and experts in various engineering disciplines.
Today’s activities also witnessed the graduation of the first batch of the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy, where 4 projects were discussed, namely:
• A car project powered by electricity and solar energy.
• A plane to clean solar panels and glass surfaces.
• Electric vehicle charging station project.
• A projected solar power plant to operate the billboard.
The external arbitrators praised the outstanding level of students and the innovative ideas presented in the graduation projects, which reflect the extent of the effort exerted by all staff and the faculty administration to reach a distinguished graduate capable of creativity, innovation, competition, and leadership in the labor market.
In the interest of Al-Nahda University to discover the talents of its students in many fields, highlighting them, refining them, and caring for them, students of the Faculty of Computer Science participated in the international competition presented by Huawei ICT Academy for the year 2022-2023, which is a global competition that is held worldwide in the fields of communications and Technology.
Our students passed the competition in its three stages, which included:
The registration stage, followed by preparation for the exam in one of several tracks: Network Track – Cloud Track – Computing Track
The stage of determining the level of each student through the Assessment Exam, based on which 500 students from the first universities are selected for the test stage at the level of the Republic.
The stage of dividing students into teams and escalating a team from each track to compete at the level of North Africa Exam, through which it is possible to travel to China and represent Egypt in the global competition.
Prof. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of the University, honored the students of the Faculty of Computer Science who won silver and bronze positions and medals in the competition. The silver medal was won by the student Sherif Najm El-Din Mahmoud, and the bronze medal was won by the students: Ahmed Ashraf Sayed – Muhannad Ayman Farouk – Aya Yasser Ahmed – Said Ibrahim Mamdouh.
It should be noted that the cooperation with Huawei Egypt dates to years of workshops, seminars, and meetings with experts in the company, to train students and provide them with the necessary skills to spread the culture of communication technology and artificial intelligence, and the creation of a bank of distinguished human capabilities in these fields, to keep pace with the state’s requirements to contribute to the digital transformation in its plan until 2030.
