Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, witnessed the activities of the Scientific Conference for Students and the Intellectual Forum for Civil Society, which was organized by the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Nahda University.

  Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University, Eng. Mohamed Al-Rashidi, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khodari, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, head of the conference entitled

 “The role of engineering majors in achieving sustainable development in civil society”

On Sunday 4/7/2021 at Al-Nahda University Theatre.

In his speech, the Governor of Beni Suef expressed his happiness to participate in the activities of the scientific conference, which includes scientific and academic figures, businessmen and industrialists in Egypt, praising the active societal and academic role of Al-Nahda University in advancing the development plan for the governorate,  Which is represented in the continuous contributions and fruitful cooperation between the governorate and the university, with its scientific and research components,  which represent an important support and resource for the governorate, noting that since he assumed responsibility he has been keen to benefit from this important and qualitative resource, In implementation of the directives of the political leadership, it is important for universities, with their academic expertise, to be an important element and a mainstay in the development plan, noting that Beni Suef is fortunate to have three universities on its land next to the private university being established.   

Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of the University, gave a welcoming speech to the guests and praised the effective role played by the Faculty of Engineering in terms of projects to serve the Beni Suef community, and appealed to the Scientific Committee of Arbitrators for the graduation projects of the Faculty of Engineering students to be effective and feasible.

Prof. Dr. Salem Al-khodary, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Conference Chair welcomed the guests and announced that based on the importance of engineering disciplines in sustainable development, new disciplines have been developed at the Faculty of Engineering to be suitable for the future vision of Egypt 2030, which are the “Department of Electrical and Renewable Energy, Department of Mechatronics, and Department of Production Mechanics.”

In the speech of the economic advisor to Chinese companies, engineer Sami Ali Hassan announced that investments in Beni Suef Governorate in the field of manufacturing essential and vegetable oils, manufacturing chemicals and raw materials for the medical and pharmaceutical sector requirements, at a cost of nearly seventy million dollars, to establish the first phase of the project.

Major General Engineer / Mohamed Nasser, on behalf of the Captain of Engineers, said that the Syndicate is happy to support all sustainable development projects on the land of Egypt, and praised the graduation projects for students of the Faculty of Engineering.

After the opening session, the Governor of Beni Suef, the President of the University and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering inspected the graduation projects for the students of the faculty and the “Al-Hiba project designed by the students of the Architecture Department” headed by Dr. Iman Shakour, Head of the Department of Architecture.

And departments (Civil Engineering – Communications and Computer Engineering), as well as inspecting projects for students of electrical and renewable energy and mechatronics departments. Headed by Dr. Mohamed Saad, head of the department.

At the conclusion of the conference, in its first and second sessions, the attendees expressed their happiness with the graduation projects, wishing the university further excellence and success.

Dr. Mohamed Saad, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, announced the recommendations that resulted from the conference sessions, including: the role of engineering disciplines in civil society, maximizing the role of scientific institutions in the renaissance of sustainable development in Beni Suef Governorate, holding cooperation protocols with specialized training centers locally and globally, and adopting the proposals of businessmen and industry .

Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef  and Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University, witnessed today Monday, 21/6/2021, the signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol between Al-Nahda University and a group of banks.  They are: the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr and  the Export Development Bank of Egypt, to participate in the simulation models program implemented by the university, to prepare and empower its students for the labor market, especially to work in major financial institutions such as banks and large companies, by providing them with the required skills and experience.

The Governor of Beni Suef stressed the importance of such programs aimed at refining students’ skills and providing them with the necessary practical experience to enter the labor market while they possess knowledge and practical experience. As the study is not sufficient to obtain a distinguished job opportunity in the era of its elements, components and data in a successive and accelerating development. called on all academic institutions to follow that path, praising the remarkable cooperation between state institutions in all fields and sectors within the framework of the vision and directives adopted by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of the need to work as one team for comprehensive and sustainable development.

Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Governor of Beni Suef, describing him as a distinguished model for young leadership that works in various fields according to a vision based on science, hard work, and reliance on youth and academic and executive experiences. Referring to his support for all the efforts of civil society, which contributed positively to the implementation and intensification of all targeted activities, noting the method used at the university, which is based on science in parallel with activating the applied side and practical simulation.

The protocols were signed between Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of Al-Nahda University, and the heads of the boards of directors representing the banks, in the presence of Dr. Omar Al-Munir, former Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. Hossam Al-Masry, medical advisor to the Council of Ministers, Dr. Magdy Abdel Qader, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Khadrawi, Dean of the Faculty of Business administration at the university and a group of university leaders, faculty members and students of the faculty of Business Administration.

The protocols signed by the university with banks aim at spreading financial and banking awareness among students,  and training students on Tasks of banks by transferring practical experience to them in order to prepare them for the labor market, through these banks preparing and distributing educational brochures, providing lectures to students, and a series of seminars on the work of banks, while the university, represented by the faculty of Business Administration, implements all the terms of the agreement. In addition to providing halls and logistics for the establishment of training programs, seminars and workshops, and placing the logo and brand of banks in the halls for holding training programs, seminars and workshops.

 On the sidelines of the signing of the protocols, the Banks Simulation Model, which was implemented by the faculty of Business Administration at Al-Nahda University, to transfer the practical experience in addition to the academic study, By preparing a model for training students on various banking business, and applying them and presenting them themselves through training programs that allow them to transfer experiences and actual application, and create an environment similar to the environment and nature of work in banks, In addition to presenting some introductory videos explaining the history of the banks, their field of activity, their future plan, and their previous work.

The Faculty of Engineering, Al-Nahda University, organizes the first scientific conference for the Department of Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering

On Sunday, June 6, 2021 the Faculty of Engineering, Nahda University, organized the first scientific conference of the Department of Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering, at the Faculty of Engineering in the Smart Village in Beni Suef Governorate, under the title “New and renewable energy applications to support the national economy and create job opportunities for youth.”

The conference was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Khodari, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and headed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saad, Head of Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering Department.

A group of scholars, experts, consultants and businessmen lectured in the conference. Outstanding STEM School students were also invited to attend the conference, within the framework of the college’s role in serving the local community in Beni Suef Governorate.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Faculty of Engineering organized an exhibition for the projects of students of the Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering Department, where the conference guests praised the students’ scientific and practical level, which appeared through the diversity and quality of project ideas presented in the exhibition, even though the students are in their early stages of study.
