Under the patronage of Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty, the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi, Director of the Continuous Education Unit, and in collaboration with the CAD/CAM Unit, a workshop on “Digital Dentistry” was organized. The workshop was supervised by Dr. Ehab Faragly, Assistant Professor in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics and Director of the CAD/CAM Unit. A large number of students and dental interns attended the event.

Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology has become an essential pillar in modern dentistry, significantly improving clinical outcomes. This technology enables precise digital design and fabrication of dental restorations such as crowns and bridges, reducing human errors and enhancing accuracy, which leads to improvements in function, durability, and aesthetics.

Under the patronage of Dean of the College of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty, the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi, Director of the Continuing Dental Education and Training Center, the department of Operative Dentistry organized a scientific day and workshop on “Mastering Laminate Composite Veneers”. The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wael Jamil, Head of the Department and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, and Prof. Dr. Shaymaa Nagi, Professor of Operative Dentistry. The workshop was sponsored by Dentsply Sirona company.

A large number of students, dental interns, graduates, as well as teaching assistant and staff members attended the training course. This academic course is considered the first in Egypt to focus on “Injection Mold Technique Using Injectable Resin Composite”.

In the interest of Al-Nahda University to discover the talents of its students in many fields, highlighting them, refining them, and caring for them, students of the Faculty of Computer Science participated in the international competition presented by Huawei ICT Academy for the year 2022-2023, which is a global competition that is held worldwide in the fields of communications and Technology.

Our students passed the competition in its three stages, which included:

• The registration stage, followed by preparation for the exam in one of several tracks: Network Track – Cloud Track – Computing Track
• The stage of determining the level of each student through the Assessment Exam, based on which 500 students from the first universities are selected for the test stage at the level of the Republic.
• The stage of dividing students into teams and escalating a team from each track to compete at the level of North Africa Exam, through which it is possible to travel to China and represent Egypt in the global competition.

Prof. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of the University, honored the students of the Faculty of Computer Science who won silver and bronze positions and medals in the competition. The silver medal was won by the student Sherif Najm El-Din Mahmoud, and the bronze medal was won by the students: Ahmed Ashraf Sayed – Muhannad Ayman Farouk – Aya Yasser Ahmed – Said Ibrahim Mamdouh.

It should be noted that the cooperation with Huawei Egypt dates to years of workshops, seminars, and meetings with experts in the company, to train students and provide them with the necessary skills to spread the culture of communication technology and artificial intelligence, and the creation of a bank of distinguished human capabilities in these fields, to keep pace with the state’s requirements to contribute to the digital transformation in its plan until 2030.

In addition to more forms of cooperation proposed in the future between Nahda University and Huawei Egypt, which is the organization of more workshops and seminars.

The Faculty of Fine Arts at Al-Nahda University organized for its students its first scientific trips to the Egyptian Museum and the Complex of Religions, to see the course content of art history in Reality. This is what the Faculty of Fine Arts has been keen on since its inception this year by linking scientific and academic content, application, and realistic observation.

It is worth noting that the Faculty of Fine Arts at Al-Nahda University opened its doors and received its first students this year based on Presidential Decree No. 67 of 2022 to add the Faculties of Fine Arts and Architecture to the faculties of Al-Nahda University.

Studying at the Faculty is based on a practical academic study, in addition to practical field training and practical projects, and following distinguished academic and professional programs in the field of plastic arts, interior design, visual communication arts, music, and cinema.
