Under the patronage of Dean of Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine, Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Seif-Allah Ibrahim and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty – Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environment, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi – Director of Continuing Dental Education & Training Center, the Continuing Dental Education & Training Center organized a lecture titled “The Pathway to becoming a licensed dentist in U.S.A” which was presented by Prof. Rabeh Hassan Ebeid who holds a BDS from Cairo University (1992) and a DDS from New York University (1999). He is also a Diplomate of the American College of Forensic Dentistry (2002) and an Associate Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Tufts University (2005-2011). Moreover, he holds a Master’s degree in Oral Facial Pain and Oral Medicine (2015) and is the owner of New Look Dentistry in Hudson, New Hampshire (2000 – Present).

This lecture explores the pathway to becoming a licensed dentist in the United States of America, highlighting the key steps, examinations, and opportunities that enable dental graduates to achieve professional practice in one of the world’s most advanced healthcare systems.

Implantology

Under the patronage of Dean of Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine, Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Seif-Allah Ibrahim and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty – Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environment, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi – Director of Continuing Dental Education & Training Center, the Continuing Dental Education & Training Center organized the “Basic Dental Implantology 2026” course. The six-day program aimed to enhance the skills of students, interns, and graduates to improve their clinical competency and meet the needs of the modern dentistry community. The course included lectures on an introduction to dental implantology, diagnosis, treatment planning, management of bone resorption and gum recession before or during implant placement, components of implant systems, surgical protocols, soft tissue management, and fixed and removable prostheses. Additionally, a detailed workshop was conducted on using imaging software to design and create surgical guides for implant placement. The course also featured a live-demo of an immediate implant placement procedure. Lecturers for the course included: Day 1 and 4: Dr. Mohamed Adel – Lecturer in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Day 2: Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty – Professor of Oral Medicine, Periodontology, and Implantology, and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs. Day 3: Dr. Waleed Abbas – Assistant Professor of Oral Medicine, Periodontology, and Implantology. Day 5: Dr. Mohamed Abdel Kader – Assistant Professor of Removable Prosthodontics.

Day 6: Dr. Ali El-Sarouri – Assistant Professor of Removable Prosthodontics.
