Under the patronage of Dean of Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine, Nahda University, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ. ๐’๐ฎ๐ณ๐š๐ง ๐’๐ž๐ข๐Ÿ-๐€๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ก ๐ˆ๐›๐ซ๐š๐ก๐ข๐ฆ and ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ. ๐Œ๐จ๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ ๐„๐ฅ-๐Œ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ฒ, Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environment, and ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Š๐ก๐š๐ฅe๐ ๐€๐ฅ-๐’๐š๐ฎ๐๐ข, Director of Continuing Dental Education & Training Center, and in collaboration with ๐Š๐š๐ง๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐Œ๐ž๐๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐ง๐ฒ (KMC), a scientific event titled “Predictable Management of Separated Instruments” was organized. The event was presented by ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐จ๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ ๐Œ๐จ๐ก๐ฌ๐ž๐ง ๐€๐›๐ข๐ž๐ฅ๐ก๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ง – Lecturer of Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University.

The aim of this scientific event was to develop skills and expertise in the retrieval of separated instruments during root canal therapy using magnification systems, ultrasonic devices, and micro-endodontic techniques, alongside understanding the factors contributing to instrument separation and implementing preventive measures. Such scientific events serve as valuable opportunities to enhance practical skills and applied knowledge for students, interns, and graduates, reaffirming the collegeโ€™s commitment to providing high-quality educational programs that support dental specialties.

Under the patronage of Dean of Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine, Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Seif-Allah Ibrahim and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty โ€“ Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environment, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi โ€“ Director of Continuing Dental Education & Training Center, the Continuing Dental Education & Training Center organized a lecture titled โ€œThe Pathway to becoming a licensed dentist in U.S.Aโ€ which was presented by Prof. Rabeh Hassan Ebeid who holds a BDS from Cairo University (1992) and a DDS from New York University (1999). He is also a Diplomate of the American College of Forensic Dentistry (2002) and an Associate Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Tufts University (2005-2011). Moreover, he holds a Master’s degree in Oral Facial Pain and Oral Medicine (2015) and is the owner of New Look Dentistry in Hudson, New Hampshire (2000 โ€“ Present).

This lecture explores the pathway to becoming a licensed dentist in the United States of America, highlighting the key steps, examinations, and opportunities that enable dental graduates to achieve professional practice in one of the worldโ€™s most advanced healthcare systems.

Implantology

Under the patronage of Dean of Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine, Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Seif-Allah Ibrahim and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty โ€“ Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environment, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi โ€“ Director of Continuing Dental Education & Training Center, the Continuing Dental Education & Training Center organized the “Basic Dental Implantology 2026” course. The six-day program aimed to enhance the skills of students, interns, and graduates to improve their clinical competency and meet the needs of the modern dentistry community. The course included lectures on an introduction to dental implantology, diagnosis, treatment planning, management of bone resorption and gum recession before or during implant placement, components of implant systems, surgical protocols, soft tissue management, and fixed and removable prostheses. Additionally, a detailed workshop was conducted on using imaging software to design and create surgical guides for implant placement. The course also featured a live-demo of an immediate implant placement procedure. Lecturers for the course included: Day 1 and 4: Dr. Mohamed Adel โ€“ Lecturer in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Day 2: Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty โ€“ Professor of Oral Medicine, Periodontology, and Implantology, and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs. Day 3: Dr. Waleed Abbas โ€“ Assistant Professor of Oral Medicine, Periodontology, and Implantology. Day 5: Dr. Mohamed Abdel Kader โ€“ Assistant Professor of Removable Prosthodontics.

The event was sponsored by Bianca Medical Services. The day featured insightful lectures delivered by leading experts in the field: Prof. Ahmed Fayad โ€“ Professor of Prosthetic Dentistry, Cairo University. Expert/ Taha Ahmed Alasadi โ€“ Visiting Lecturer Antonine University Beirut. Assist. Prof. Ahmed Mostafa โ€“ Assistant professor of Prosthetic Dentistry, Ain Shams University.
