Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Nahda University, Prof. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Wael Jamil – Vice-Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed Eldemerdash – Head of the Infection Control Unit, and Dr. Omar Badran – Head of the Infection Control Monitoring Committee, the Continuing Dental Education and Training Center organized a lecture titled “Basics of Infection Prevention and Control “Policies and Procedures” during the orientation day for interns for the academic year 2023-2024.

This lecture comes as part of the college’s commitment to training interns and equipping them with the scientific and professional standards necessary for infection prevention and control to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayoub – Vice President for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Suzan Seif-Allah – Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Wael Gamil – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, the opening of the Scientific Poster Day for dental interns (internship year 2022–2023) was successfully held, with the participation of all clinical departments within the faculty.

The Scientific Poster Day for dental interns represents a valuable opportunity to highlight scientific and research efforts, while enhancing presentation and academic discussion skills. It also contributes to the exchange of knowledge and experiences, keeping with the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, which ultimately improves the quality of professional practice and encourages continuous innovation and development.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim – Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Wael Gamil – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Shaymaa Nagi – Head of the Research Ethics Committee, the Continuing Education and Training Center organized a distinguished scientific day, entitled “Introduction to Dental Clinical & Research Ethics”. The session was presented by Dr. Amr Shebaita – Member of the Ethics Committee, National Research Centre.

The scientific day witnessed strong attendance from teaching staff and assistant members, as this lecture is considered essential for raising awareness about the importance of ethical principles in both clinical practice and scientific research. It contributes to guiding dentists and researchers toward adherence to standards of integrity, transparency, and responsibility. Understanding the fundamentals of ethics ensures the provision of high-quality healthcare for patients, protects their rights, and enhances the reputation of the dental profession. It also helps in building a strong ethical culture that supports reliable scientific research and encourages responsible innovation.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi – Director of the Continuing Education and Training Center, the Continuing Education and Training Center organized a Scientific Day 2023 for Teaching Assistants. The scientific day was attended by a large number of students, interns, graduates, teaching assistants, and faculty staff members. The event included three lectures as follows: The first lecture was titled “Robotic-Assisted Implant Placement” presented by Dr. Samah Sharaka, Assistant Lecturer of Removable Prosthodontics. The second lecture was titled “Computer-Guided Implants: The Know-How” presented by Dr. Nabl Ramy, Demonstrator of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

The third lecture was titled “The Hole-Mystery” presented by Dr. Mohamed Hassan, Demonstrator of Periodontology.
