Under the patronage of Dean of the faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi, Director of the Continuing Education Unit, the Pediatric Dentistry Department organized a scientific day titled “Management of Traumatic Dental Injuries: From Guidelines to Practical Scenario” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghada Abdel Wahab, Professor and Head of the Pediatric Dentistry Department, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Nahda University. The scientific day featured lectures by distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Ghada Abdel Wahab, Professor and Head of the Pediatric & Community Dentistry Department, Dr. Yassmin El-Makawi, Lecturer in Pediatric & Community Dentistry, Dr. Osama Seif El-Nasr, Lecturer in Pediatric & Community Dentistry, and Dr. Mina Kamal, Lecturer in Pediatric & Community Dentistry.

The event was filled with valuable information that connected theoretical knowledge with practical application. The latest scientific guidelines and proper handling of emergency cases were explained in a practical manner, helping dentists to make quick and appropriate decisions, which directly reflects on improving the quality of care provided to patients.

Oral Radiology – Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Dean of the College; Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs; and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi, Director of the Continuing Education Unit, the Continuing Education Unit organized a scientific day.

The first lecture was titled “Proper Understanding of MRI with Illustration of TMJ Disc Interpretation” presented by Dr. Mohamed Elsherbini, Professor of Oral Radiology. The second lecture was titled “Implant Rehabilitation of Atrophic Ridge” delivered by Dr. Nahed Adly, Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The third lecture, titled “Surgical Tips in Impacted Teeth Surgery” was given by Dr. Mohamed Adel, Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Oral Radiology – Removable Prosthodontics – Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – Endodontics

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah, Dean of the College; Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs; and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi, Director of Continuing Education Unit, Ramadan webinars were held online.

The first lecture was titled “2D vs 3D Imaging in Dental Radiography”, which was presented by Dr. Mostafa Mahmoud, Lecturer of Oral Radiology, Nahda University. The second lecture focused on “Treatment Protocols for Patients with Combination Syndrome”, which was presented by Dr. Ali Al-Sourori, Lecturer of Removable Prosthodontics. The third lecture discussed “Key Points in Dental Implant Esthetics”, which was presented by Prof. Hossam Barghash, Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Nahda University. The fourth lecture, titled “Pulp-Dentin Regeneration: Current Approaches & Challenges”, which was presented by Asst. Prof. Marwa Bedier, Assistant Professor of Endodontics.

Digital Dentistry

Under the patronage of Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty, the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi, Director of the Continuous Education Unit, and in collaboration with the CAD/CAM Unit, a workshop on “Digital Dentistry” was organized. The workshop was supervised by Dr. Ehab Faragly, Assistant Professor in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics and Director of the CAD/CAM Unit. A large number of students and dental interns attended the event.

Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology has become an essential pillar in modern dentistry, significantly improving clinical outcomes. This technology enables precise digital design and fabrication of dental restorations such as crowns and bridges, reducing human errors and enhancing accuracy, which leads to improvements in function, durability, and aesthetics.
