Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim – Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Wael Gamil – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Shaymaa Nagi – Head of the Research Ethics Committee, the Continuing Education and Training Center organized a distinguished scientific day, entitled “Introduction to Dental Clinical & Research Ethics”. The session was presented by Dr. Amr Shebaita – Member of the Ethics Committee, National Research Centre.

The scientific day witnessed strong attendance from teaching staff and assistant members, as this lecture is considered essential for raising awareness about the importance of ethical principles in both clinical practice and scientific research. It contributes to guiding dentists and researchers toward adherence to standards of integrity, transparency, and responsibility. Understanding the fundamentals of ethics ensures the provision of high-quality healthcare for patients, protects their rights, and enhances the reputation of the dental profession. It also helps in building a strong ethical culture that supports reliable scientific research and encourages responsible innovation.

A research competition for Egyptian university students

A- Research Topic:

1- Perception of the current situation in Egypt without the glorious October War (what if the Egyptian political leadership had not taken the decision to break out the October 1973 War).

2- The Egyptian strategic deception plan and its impact on achieving the glorious October victory.

B- Number of research pages:

From (40-60) pages

C- The best six research papers will be selected by the Military Research Authority before the third week of September 2023.

D- Those who won first places during the closing ceremony of the glorious October celebrations on Friday, 6/10/2023 AD at the university level.

Removable Prosthodontics – Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery – Periodontology

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi – Director of the Continuing Education and Training Center, the Continuing Education and Training Center organized a Scientific Day 2023 for Teaching Assistants. The scientific day was attended by a large number of students, interns, graduates, teaching assistants, and faculty staff members. The event included three lectures as follows: The first lecture was titled “Robotic-Assisted Implant Placement” presented by Dr. Samah Sharaka, Assistant Lecturer of Removable Prosthodontics. The second lecture was titled “Computer-Guided Implants: The Know-How” presented by Dr. Nabl Ramy, Demonstrator of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

The third lecture was titled “The Hole-Mystery” presented by Dr. Mohamed Hassan, Demonstrator of Periodontology.

Pediatric & Community Dentistry

Under the patronage of Dean of the faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi, Director of the Continuing Education Unit, the Pediatric Dentistry Department organized a scientific day titled “Management of Traumatic Dental Injuries: From Guidelines to Practical Scenario” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghada Abdel Wahab, Professor and Head of the Pediatric Dentistry Department, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Nahda University. The scientific day featured lectures by distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Ghada Abdel Wahab, Professor and Head of the Pediatric & Community Dentistry Department, Dr. Yassmin El-Makawi, Lecturer in Pediatric & Community Dentistry, Dr. Osama Seif El-Nasr, Lecturer in Pediatric & Community Dentistry, and Dr. Mina Kamal, Lecturer in Pediatric & Community Dentistry.

The event was filled with valuable information that connected theoretical knowledge with practical application. The latest scientific guidelines and proper handling of emergency cases were explained in a practical manner, helping dentists to make quick and appropriate decisions, which directly reflects on improving the quality of care provided to patients.
