Endodontics

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah Ibrahim, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi, Director of the Continuing Education Unit, a lecture and workshop entitled “Cleaning & Shaping of Root Canals by Rotary NiTi Instruments” was organized. The event was presented by Dr. Karim Galal, Assistant Professor and Head of Endodontics department.

This course aims to develop skills and expertise in cleaning, shaping, and treating root canals using rotary files made of nickel-titanium, with the goal of enhancing the quality of treatment and the accuracy of clinical outcomes. Such scientific events are valuable opportunities to strengthen practical skills for students, interns, and graduates, which reflect the college’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality educational programs that support dental specialties.

Digital Dentistry

Under the patronage of Dean of the College of Oral and Dental Medicine at Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Suzan
Saif-Allah Ibrahim, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Mofty, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs,
and Dr. Khaled Al-Saudi, Director of the Continuing Education unit, the Continuing Education unit organized
a lecture and workshop titled “3Disc Heron Intraoral Scanner” sponsored by Innovation Dental Group. The
session was presented by Mr. Alex Aznar, Director of International Training at the company.
The training day was attended by a significant number of teaching assistant and staff members. The lecturer
shared an advanced experience in the field of digital scanning. The workshop provided a valuable opportunity
to acquire practical skills in the application of modern technologies and contributed to enhancing
understanding of how to leverage digital solutions to improve treatment quality and final outcomes.

The Faculty of Physical Therapy visits to Al-Diwan School to discover postural deformities in primary and preparatory stages

In NUB’s continuous dedication to community service, a delegation of Faculty members and students from the Faculty of Physical Therapy volunteered to visit Al-Diwan Private Language School in the First District, east of the Nile in Beni Suef on December 20, 2020, as part of the campaign for the early detection of body deformities among school students in the primary and preparatory stages,

The visit included 9 faculty members and 20 students, and they examined about 300 students, many of which suffered deformities including dropped shoulder scapular winging, scoliosis, and kyphosis.

The visit also included awareness lectures for teachers and school students about the correct way for sitting and carrying the school bag as they are two of the main causes of the found deformities.

Scientific Poster Day

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi – President of Nahda University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayoub

  • Vice President for Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Suzan Saif-Allah – Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental
    Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Wael Jamil – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, the opening of the Scientific Poster Day
    for intern dentists (internship year 2021-2022) was successfully held at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine.
    The event was conducted with the participation of all clinical departments within the faculty and under the
    supervision of faculty teaching staff members.
    Throughout the day, intern dentists presented a series of scientific posters accompanied by detailed oral
    presentations, demonstrating an advanced level of research skills, innovation, and cognitive mastery across
    various dental specialties.
